A considerable number of young players coached by Wiltshire Football Academy have gone on to achieve success. It is a fantastic feeling to know that our courses and teaching methods have helped young boys and girls along their journey, sometimes turning their dreams into a reality!
We’re proud of all the players we’ve been associated with over the years and wish them well for the future.
The players featured below are just some of those who have been coached at our centres over the years– our congratulations go to all of them.
Antoine joined our BTEC Scholarship Course in 2016 where he received high quality coaching and education. In the summer of 2017, Antoine was forwarded for trials at Reading FC and then Bristol City FC, where he has now signed his first full professional contract. Antoine has since gained valuable first team experience on loan at Bath City in The Vanarama National League, before spending a further 6 months on loan at League 2 side AFC Newport Count. He thrived here, playing consistently and scoring a number of goals. Antoine has now been recalled to his home club where he is making regular appearances in The Championship.
Tom came into our Development Centre as an outfield player at the age of 6, but soon showed lots of promise as a GK. With this in mind, it was felt that he should be forwarded to The Reading FC Academy for GK trials at U8. After a successful trial period Tom signed a contract for the Academy U9’s at the start of the 2013/14 season. In 2021 Tom signed a 2-year scholarship contract.
Raphael was a member of our Swindon Development Centre from the age of 7, before joining Bristol City FC Academy a few years later. Raphael progressed through the age groups before being handed a 3-year full time professional contract at the age of 17.
Harry trained and played with our Swindon DC in 2010/11 before signing for Swindon Town in 2011. In 2019, Harry was offered an Academy Scholarship at STFC, before progressing to become a full time Professional in 2021.
Owen was spotted by us as a 6-year-old and was invited to join our Swindon Development Centre, which led to him gaining a contract as an U9 at STFC. A few years later, Owen decided to leave STFC and returned to be a stalwart of our U14, U15 and U16 JPL squads. In 2018, Owen was selected to join the England U18’s schoolboys’ squad, which alerted a number of pro clubs. This resulted in Owen signing a 2-year pro deal at Championship club WBA FC in June 2019.
Will was part of our successful Junior Premier League programme for a number of years, before gaining an academy contract at FGRFC. Will has worked his way through the age groups and has now been rewarded with his first full-time contract.
Josh joined our Swindon development centre at the age of 6, before signing for Swindon Town Academy at the age of 9 yrs old.
Josh progressed through the age groups at STFC, gaining a 2 year scholarship, which ended without a full-time contract.
However, Josh continued to pursue his dream and attended successful trials at Watford FC where he has now gained a full-time pro contract.
Harley spent 8 years with us, after joining our Swindon development centre at the age of 7, before becoming a pivotal member of our Junior Premier League programme and winning a JPL National Championship medal with our U14’s.
Harley’s strong performances soon attracted the attention of several professional clubs, including Swindon Town FC, where he signed an academy contract at the age of 15.
In April 2024, Harley made his full first team appearance with the Robins, which then lead to interest from a number of Premiership & Championship clubs, leading to Harley’s move to Middlesborough FC.
